Determinants of expansion plans of solo self-employed at the time of start-up

In this video Jerzy Cieslik discusses his research presented at the Annual Global Research Workshop on Freelancing and Self-Employment 2016.

Cieslik’s research investigates the intentions of self-employed workers to employ personnel in the future. Examining factors such as new self-employed workers’ job creation ambitions, motives for becoming self-employed and employment status before becoming self-employed, among other background characteristics, Cieslik presents an overview of those who are more or less likely to move from classic self-employment to employer status.
